INSIDE THE NUCLEUS
|
NucleusThe nucleus is usually found in the center of the cell. The nucleus is composed of many different parts like the nuclear envelope. The nucleus stores DNA and also produces RNA and Ribosomes. The nucleus works with the ribosomes specifically and the rest of the cell.
NucleolusThe nucleolus is inside of the nucleus. The nucleolus is where the ribosomes are made and partially assembled. It does not have a membrane and is made of proteins and nucleic acids. The nucleolus works with the ribosomes.
Nuclear EnvelopeThe nuclear envelope is found on the outside of the nucleus, It is a double membrane. It is made out of lipids and genetic material made by the cell. It is there to protect the nucleus. The nuclear envelope works with the nucleus.
Chromosomes and ChromatinInside the nuclear envelope you will find chromatin. Chromatin is made out of DNA and protein. When the cell divides the chromatin coils up and become packed tightly together. These tightly packed strands then form chromosomes. They both work with the nucleus.
