CiliaCilia is on the outside of some cells. They are short, hair-like organelles. Cilia usually are in large numbers. They help the cell move around. They work with the whole cell to move around and to gather food.
FlagellaFlagella are also found on the outside of the cell, but unlike cilia, flagella is a long hair-like strand and comes in less numbers. Flagella has the same job as cilia, but flagella propels the cell by whipping it back and forth.
